saw through a window. Monet went to Swiss Academy to learn painting in 1859. He

stayed there for 43 years. He painted the series of Meules and of Peupliers.

for remembering them. Monet suffered for the lung cancer and died on November

Claude Monet has over 400 artworks. His
painting is popular these days since modern artists imitate his painting
styles. His paintings are impressive because many people look at his artworks
they can get the feeling that Monet wants to show. His best artwork is The
Water Lilies because the artwork is very big and Monet put lots of effort
on this work. He painted a series of The Water Lilies and they can be
combined in a big piece of artwork. Also there are many artworks are popular
too such as Le Genouillere, Le Bassin Aux Nympheas and San Giorgio Maggiore at
Dusk.
Les Nymphéas (The Water Lilies)
People know Claude
Monet because of this painting. This painting expresses a feeling of calm. The
viewers see this artwork feel comfortable and feel like they are in that area
and see the pond. Monet focused on a small area of the pond and didn’t stand
out any details since he did not use the bright color to point out the main
part of the artwork. This pond is his house’s garden in Giverny, which
represents his later life, is like the pond peace and calm.
Impression sunrise
Claude Monet’s Impression, Sunrise has been celebrated
as the quintessential symbol of the Impressionist Movement. He composed the
majority of the painting blue and violet, but the reflection of the sun on the
water is painted in orange. The ships in the background act as a structuring
element and create linear structures. Sunrise is the reproduction of the
impression and its resulting mood. Monet traveled to a lot place so he painted
what he saw. I like this painting because he focused on the shadow in the
water. Also the sun’s flection is the most successful par of his painting since
the color of the sun is bright and attractive.
Cliff Walk at Pourville
Claude Monet
painted Cliff Walk at Pourville in
1882. This painting gives a meaning of life should go on and just move on,
everything will be fine don’t be upset. I like this painting because he painted
with light color like blue, white and green. Monet was good at painting the
nature and it looks like a real picture with some effects on the Photoshop.
This painting’s feeling is peace and calm and I like this style of painting.
